Set beneath timber beams and surrounded by wide Colorado skies, this gathering is designed as a gentle pause — a place where widows can step away from the noise of everyday life and spend time in the company of others who understand this path.

There is something deeply healing about sitting in a room where no explanations are needed.

Throughout the day there will be opportunities for conversation, reflection, and creative exploration. Some moments will be lightly guided, while others will simply be open space — to rest, to talk, to journal, to create, or to sit quietly with a cup of tea.

Whether you are newly widowed or many years into this journey, you are welcome here.

DAY RETREAT AT THE BARN

WHAT THE DAY MAY INCLUDE:

  • Light breakfast with coffee, tea, juice and morning snacks

  • Keynote speaker

  • Breakout sessions including:

    • Flower arranging with blooms grown on property

    • Guided art activity

    • Reflective journaling exercises

  • Time for quiet conversation and connection

  • A shared picnic lunch together

  • Space to rest, reflect and enjoy the peaceful setting

Paisley Gatherings are intentionally simple and unhurried, allowing space for genuine connection.

TRAVELING FROM OUT OF TOWN?

If you are traveling from outside Colorado, we would love to make it possible for you to attend.

Members of the Paisley Project community are generously opening their homes to host visiting widows, and we will do our best to coordinate airport pickup from Denver International Airport when possible. Our hope is that travel logistics or cost will not prevent someone from joining us.

Many meaningful friendships in the Paisley community begin exactly this way.

WHO IS THIS GATHERING FOR

This event is for widows only at any state of the journey.

You do not need to have attended a Paisley event before. Many women will be coming for the first time.

If you have been quietly wishing for a place where you might feel understood, this may be that place.

LOCATION

Castle Rock, Colorado. The exact address and arrival details will be shared with registered guests.

Space is limited to 45 guests so that the gathering can remain intimate and personal.
