Trip Highlights

EXPLORE HOLE-IN-THE-ROCK

Located in Phoenix's beautiful Papago Park, Hole-in-the-Rock is a unique sandstone formation with a natural opening that offers wonderful views of the surrounding desert. A short hike leads to this scenic overlook, where we'll have the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, take photos, and appreciate Arizona's natural beauty.

DISCOVER FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT'S TALIESIN WEST

We'll visit Taliesin West, the former winter home and architectural studio of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Nestled in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains in nearby Scottsdale, this remarkable historic site offers a fascinating look at Wright's creative vision and his connection to the desert landscape.

CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE

For those interested in a more challenging outdoor adventure, Camelback Mountain offers spectacular views of the Phoenix area and surrounding desert. This iconic Arizona landmark is known for its rugged trails and breathtaking scenery. Hiking is entirely optional, allowing everyone to choose the activities that best suit their interests and abilities.

NOURISHING, CURATED MEALS

Delicious, thoughtfully planned meals are an important part of our retreat experience. Sharing meals around the table gives us time to slow down, connect, laugh, and enjoy meaningful conversations together.

THERAPEUTIC ART & WRITING

Our specially designed art and writing activities offer opportunities for reflection, creativity, and personal expression. These activities are approachable, meaningful, and enjoyable, with no artistic or writing experience necessary.

TIME TO RELAX & CONNECT

Some of the most meaningful retreat moments happen when there is nothing on the schedule. We'll have puzzles on the table, comfortable places to gather, plenty of coffee and tea, and opportunities for spontaneous conversations, laughter, and quiet reflection. Whether you prefer spending time with the group or finding a peaceful moment to yourself, there is room for both.

Why L.I.V.E. Intensive Experiences Are Magical

Grief can be isolating, even when surrounded by people who care. Spending time with other widows creates a unique opportunity to feel understood without having to explain your experiences.

Research has demonstrated the important roles that social connection, time in nature, and restorative experiences can play in supporting emotional well-being after loss.

Our L.I.V.E. Retreats bring these elements together through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, creative expression, and opportunities for rest.

There is no expectation to grieve in a particular way, participate in every activity, or be at a certain stage of healing. Our retreats offer a place where you can simply be yourself, surrounded by women who understand both the challenges of loss and the possibilities of life moving forward.
